Telesia Afeaki Tonga

Telesia Afeaki Tonga, affectionately called “Aunty Sia” by most, she is married to her high school sweetheart Walter Tonga, mother of 8 beautiful children and grandma of Atalina and baby Walter.

Born in Hawaii raised in Tonga after high school she left for Uni in Australia but ended up in the US where she would eventually finish up her Bachelors in business at BYUH. She has spent most of her life working in the people business and believes that loving and serving people (especially her family) is her greatest joy !

She continues her family’s legacy of faiva composing songs and choreographing dances with her husband for schools and a professional production called Tihati Productions.

She is most passionate about empowering young people but especially Pasifika youth to learn their language and affirm their cultural and divine identity through the performing arts. She has enjoyed teaching students of all ages from elementary to high school in Tonga, Hawaii and New Zealand.

She is currently:

  • the Polynesian Cultural Center’s Senior Cultural Ambassador

  • Tongan Cultural Specialist for Tihati Productions Oahu, Maui, Hawaii, Kauai.

  • Board Member of Miss Pacific Islands Pageant

  • recording artist and 2023 Na Hoku Hanohano recipient for Tonga Sisters Religious Album of the year

    • MC for FestPac held in Hawaii June 2024

    • MC for luau shows at Polynesian Cultural Center and Tihati Productions

    • MC for Miss Heilala Pageants several years and Miss Pacific Island Pageant 2019

    • MC for Polynesian Football Hall of Fame
